Sewing Machine Review for the Sew Mama Sew Blog

does a sewing machine review for the Janome DC4030 for the Sew Mama Sew blog.

I try to cover the following questions in my video review.
What brand and model do you have?
How much does that machine cost (approximately)?
What types of things do you sew (i.e. quilting, clothing, handbags, home dec projects, etc.)?
How much do you sew? How much wear and tear does the machine get?
Do you like/love/hate your machine? Are you ambivalent? Passionate? Does she have a name?
What features does your machine have that work well for you?
Is there anything that drives you nuts about your machine?
Would you recommend the machine to others? Why?
What factors do you think are important to consider when looking for a new machine?
Do you have a dream machine?

I hope you find the review useful!

  1. Sew Mama, just wanted to let you know how much my wife & I appreciate your vids, especially on the 4030 which we are just about to order from Costco @ $429 to replace her (2nd) Brother LB-6800THRD due to a very small part in the sewing head which I located on a 3rd party web site but in no way Jose am I even contemplating replacing it myself w/o havin special tools.  The 1st Brother bit the bullet when the on-board computer took a dump soooo I thought we'de go another root and try out the Janome, especially after checkin out your vids.  I sure hope you're gettin compensated for your efforts.  This is something the mfg should be doin to support their product.

She does a lot of sewing clothes, blankets & quilts.  Now being retired she spends a lot of time "behind the wheel" on her machine and I want her to be able to "keep on keepin on" w/o experiencing downtime due to mechanical issues.  She'll be able to refer to your 4030 vids when she fires up her new 4030 so she can get on the top of the learning curve early.  Thanks again and YOU keep on keepin on!
