.hack//G.U. is a 4 book novel series, that retells the story of Haseo and his hunt for the outlaw PKer, Tri-Edge. Haseo and Adept Rogue is known as The Terror of Death. This series is similar to what is seen in the G.U. Prototype Trailer. Tokyopop announced on July 5th 2008 that they were going to license this series to release under their name in English, the first volume will be released February 10th 2009.

Story

G.U. takes place 7 years after .hack//Quarantine, and like the original G.U. game trio, you follow the player Haseo. A powerful PKKer (Player Killer Killer), also known as "The Terror Of Death", Haseo is searching for a certain player, known as Tri-Edge. While on his search, he eventually joined a guild named, "Raven", which is actually a cover up for a secret group called "G.U.".
